KANPUR: The Lamborghini that rammed into an autorickshaw and a motorcycle before crashing into a pole, injuring six people in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur earlier this month, has been released after a bond amount of Rs 8.5 crore was furnished.The vehicle had been seized by police following the accident. However, it was released after the court ordered its release and the required sureties were submitted.Speaking on the matter, accused Shivam’s lawyer, Dharmendra Singh, said the court had directed the release of the seized vehicle and sent the order to the concerned police station.
“In the accident case, the court ordered the release of the vehicle seized yesterday, and that order was sent to the concerned police station.
The court issued the order based on which the vehicle was released. The court’s order required sureties, including personal bonds and a bond equal to the vehicle’s value. In compliance with that order, the bond amount of Rs 8.5 crore was paid and thus the vehicle was released,” Dharmendra Singh said.He added that the Lamborghini was released from the police station on Friday night after the bond formalities were completed.Earlier this month, the luxury car had rammed into an autorickshaw and a motorcycle before crashing into a pole in Kanpur, leaving six people injured.(With agency inputs)
