‘Kara’ first single ‘Vaaya Ey Karasaami’ out now: Dhanush’s rugged look and action glimpses spark comparisons to ‘Asuran’

The makers of 'Kara' have released the film’s first single, creating excitement among Dhanush's fans. The song, titled 'Vaaya Ey Karasaami,' is out on music platforms. The upcoming film is directed by Vignesh Raja, who earlier directed 'Por Thozhil.

' The project marks another intense role for Dhanush, who remains busy with back-to-back films. After completing the shoot of 'Idli Kadai,' the actor moved on to 'Kara', and the film’s shooting has now wrapped up.

‘Vaaya Ey Karasaami’ sets the tone for the film

The first single from 'Kara', titled 'Vaaya Ey Karasaami,' is a powerful folk-style devotional track. Arunraja Kamaraj wrote the song and it features vocals by Arunraja Kamaraj, Anthony Daasan, Satyan, and VM Mahalingam.

GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the track. The lyric video gives a glimpse into the film's raw and rustic world. It shows Dhanush crossing a field with a helmeted face and a sword while being pursued by police, implying the thrilling action and exhilarating romance the movie might feature.

Song visuals spark comparisons with rural action dramas

The song visuals have taken the internet by storm. Many viewers say the tone and setting remind them of 'Asuran,' one of Dhanush’s most powerful rural dramas.

Amidst the show's curtain, glimpses show rural areas with police officers chasing Dhanush's character, who seems ready for a shootout. One image shows him caught in a prison cell. Therefore, the series could focus on brutality, survival, or revenge. From a sneak peek, the producers have shared a slogan that goes, "Sometimes being dangerous is the only way to stay alive," meaning that it is going to be an intense thriller.

Strong cast and crew back the upcoming film

Besides Dhanush, the movie 'Kara' boasts a talented cast including Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Karunas, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and MS Baskar, among others. Vignesh Raja wrote the screenplay along with his 'Por Thozhil' collaborator Alfred Prakash. With the first single already creating buzz, 'Kara' is gearing up for its theatrical release on April 30.
