In a shocking incident, a man was stripped and brutally assaulted by a mob in Karnataka’s Mandya district over his alleged involvement in a missing girl’s case.

The incident took place in Dinka village in Pandavapura taluk. According to police, the victim was targeted by a group of individuals who accused him of involvement in the girl’s disappearance. The mob allegedly stripped him before launching a violent attack.

The mob reportedly used heavy stones to repeatedly crush the victim’s legs, ignoring his desperate pleas for mercy and his assertions of innocence.

Police said the victim sustained multiple fractures in both legs and suffered severe injuries during the assault.

The brutality of the assault was captured on video by the perpetrators themselves, and the footage has since circulated widely, sparking public outrage across the state.

Authorities under the jurisdiction of the Pandavapura police station acted after the video surfaced and a formal complaint was lodged. Fourteen people have been arrested in connection with the assault.

Police said investigations are ongoing to identify any additional individuals involved in the incident. Officials have condemned the act and reiterated that taking the law into one’s own hands will not be tolerated.
