KAU’s Centre for e-Learning launches new digital tools for agricultural education

The Centre for e-Learning at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) unveiled a series of digital initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural education and outreach.

At the function presided over on Tuesday by Gopakumar S., Dean College of Forestry; Dr. A. Sakeer Husain, Registrar of KAU; inaugurated the updated KAU Agri-Infotech Portal.

The new portal provides improved access and efficiency for stakeholders. This portal, available in both Malayalam and English, has garnered over 1 crore visitors so far. A short film produced by the Centre for e-Learning, highlighting the role of technology in agriculture was also premiered during the event.

Knowledge Bank, a digital archive of expert lectures; two new documentaries in agriculture and teaser of the upcoming courses by the Centre were also released. Dr. K.N. Anith, Director of Research, launched the Knowledge Bank, while Binoo P. Bonny, Director of Extension released the documentaries. The teaser for upcoming online courses was released by Kunhamu T. K., Director of Education.
