Kavitha launches Telangana Rashtra Sena, charges BRS with betraying Telangana

Claiming that the party that led the Statehood movement, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), had lost its soul after being renamed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana Jagruthi president and former Member of the Legislative Council Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday (April 25) announced the launch of a new political entity — Telangana Rashtra Sena — stating it would work to fulfil the aspirations of the people of the ‘newly created State’.

The former BRS MLC also apologised to the people for being part of a family that had ‘misruled’ the State for nearly a decade since Telangana’s formation.
