 Dhruva Sarja starrer action thriller gets ‘A’ certificate day ahead of release

The upcoming Kannada movie ‘KD: The Devil’ starring Dhruva Sarja, directed by Prem has now been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with an ‘A’ certificate. The makers confirmed the news one day before release, as it is set to hit the screens on Friday.

‘KD: Devil’ receives ‘A’ rating

KVN Productions shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), “A CERTIFIED. Raw. Ruthless. Real #KDTheDevil 1 DAY TO GO.” Recently, the makers also shared that advance booking for the film has also started, as they wrote, “1 DAY TO GO. A presence you won’t forget - #SATHYAVATI. #KDTheDevil brings the biggest Retro Fest to theatres.”

Trailer taken down earlier

Earlier, the film faced a problem with its trailer. The makers had to remove it from YouTube.

They said the trailer had some content that was not certified. In a statement, they said, “The trailer of KD: The Devil recently released on YouTube inadvertently included certain uncertified content during certification process.” They also said they will upload a new version soon. The team added, “We sincerely regret this oversight and remain fully committed to adhering to all certification norms.

Song controversy

The Hindi version of the song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ from the film also created trouble. Many people did not like its lyrics and visuals. The number featuring Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi, also faced trouble. The song was removed from YouTube after the National Commission for Women sent notices.

In addition to it, Nora shared that she did not understand the meaning while dancing. Singer Mangli said a new version with changed lyrics is being made.
