Plot of the Movie

Set in the fictional village of Chitti Jayapuram in South India, the film takes place in the 1990s.

The story follows a bizarre yet hilarious situation where the villagers are faced with a peculiar problem—the local burial ground is running out of space. Director’s Vision

According to an IANS report, director Ani I.V. Sasi shared his thoughts on the film: “Uppu Kappurambu draws from a world I’ve long wanted to bring to the screen.

We wanted it to tackle serious societal issues, but in a very silly and cartoonish way.” He described the film as “a sincere attempt to blend comedy with meaningful commentary.”
