KeLSA launches project to assist public

‘Samayam’, a scheme of the Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KeLSA) for assisting the public approaching police stations with civil, matrimonial and monetary cases and complaints regarding compoundable offences to settle disputes, was launched on Friday.

District Police Chief (Kochi City) Putta Vimaladithya and Rural Superintendent of Police M. Hemalatha jointly inaugurated the programme, which is being implemented with the support of the district police.

Honey M. Varghese, District and Sessions Judge, presided. KeLSA district secretary R.R. Rejitha, Chief Judicial Magistrate V. Sandeep Krishna, and Marlo Pallath, coordinator of the programme, spoke.
