A phalanx of Union Ministers and national leaders is leading a series of high-profile roadshows and public rallies for BJP-led NDA candidates across Kerala on Friday (April 3). The campaign blitz features some of the alliance’s prominent faces, aimed at bolstering support for local candidates in key constituencies.

Senior party leader Smriti Irani is set for a marathon day of campaigning, beginning with a roadshow in Aruvikkara in Thiruvananthapuram to support the BJP candidate Vivek Gopan. She will later move to Kottarakara for a 1.5-km roadshow alongside candidate R. Reshmi.

Meanwhile, Tejasvi Surya, MP, is focusing on the Mavelikara and Chirayinkeezhu constituencies. His schedule includes a public programme at Punnamoodu for the candidate S. Ajimon as well as a roadshow through Chirayinkeezhu Town for candidate B.S. Anoop in the evening.

Several Union Ministers are also on the ground to lend weight to the NDA’s regional aspirations. J.P. Nadda, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, will visit the historic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in the capital before leading a roadshow in Vattiyurkavu for the candidate R. Sreelekha late evening.

Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, will lead a roadshow in Kollam, followed by a public meeting in Kundara and a minority outreach programme in Thiruvananthapuram in the evening.

Focusing on tribal outreach, the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durga Das Uikey, will meet with leaders in Mananthawady, followed by public programmes in both Mananthawady and Sulthan Bathery.

In the northern belt, K. Annamalai, party’s national executive member, is spearheading the campaign in Kannur. He will address a public programme in Kannur for C. Raghunath, followed by a session in Azhikode for K.K. Vinod Kumar.
