Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan visited Sri Mookambika Temple at Kollur in Udupi district on Saturday (July 11, 2026) and offered special prayers.
A staunch devotee of Kollur Sri Mookambika, Mr. Satheesan visited Kollur for the first time after assuming office. He stayed overnight at the temple town after arriving from Thiruvananthapuram by a scheduled flight to Mangaluru and proceeding to Kollur by road on Friday (July 10) night.

Early in the morning, the Kerala Chief Minister visited the temple and offered special prayers and pooja guided by chief priest K.N. Narasimha Adiga and priest K.N. Subrahmanya Adiga. Notwithstanding tight security arrangements, Mr. Satheesan obliged many devotees when they sought to get selfies clicked with him in the outer perphery of the temple. The temple managing committee offered felicitations to Mr. Satheesan on the occasion.
After the darshan and the pooja, Mr. Satheesan left to Mangaluru by road from where he would take a connecting flight to Kochi via Bengaluru.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay had visited the Kollur Temple on June 12 after assuming the office.
