Kerala Muslim Students Federation Denies Using Imran Khan's Photo In Theme Song

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan featured in the theme song of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) — the student wing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) — the Students Federation of India (SFI) alleged.

According to the reports, Imran Khan’s image appeared among the iconic leaders of the MSF’s parent organisation. Following this, MSF stated that their official song on social media platforms does not have Imran Khan’s picture. They also stated that they will file a police complaint as they suspect foul play.

The SFI Kerala state secretary, Sanjeev PS, shared a recording of the theme song, along with the image of Khan used in the video, in a social media post.

He demanded that the MSF state leadership clarify the use of Imran Khan’s picture in their theme song, as he has constantly threatened India and its secular values. He further alleged that such actions would simultaneously aid the Sangh Parivar and Jamaat-e-Islami.

Attacking MSF state president PK Navas, Sanjeev said the video was taken down after some members of the cadre raised concerns about using Khan’s image in the song. Notably, the song was released as part of the MSF’s upcoming state conference.

He claimed it revealed the “true colours" of the MSF leadership and added that the repercussions of such actions will also affect the secular members of the MSF.

The SFI is the student wing of the CPI(M), Kerala’s principal ruling party, while the IUML is a constituent of the Congress-led UDF opposition alliance.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief Imran Khan remains imprisoned following his ousting in 2022 as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
