Kerala rains: Orange alert for four districts on July 17

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert warning of very heavy rainfall for Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, and Kozhikode on Thursday and a yellow alert for the remaining districts, except for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta, where isolated heavy rainfall is likely. The monsoon has gained strength, powered by the twin weather systems over northern India.
