The Kerala government’s Revised Budget for 2026-27, presented on Friday (June 19, 2026), by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has granted in-principle approval for the proposed Logistics High-Tech Vertical Industrial Park on KINFRA land at Cheemeni, a flagship project proposed by Trikaripur MLA Sandeep Warrier.

The project, which is expected to generate around 15,000 employment opportunities, is among a series of development initiatives approved for the constituency. The MLA said the projects were submitted with the sole objective of accelerating the development of Trikaripur and expressed confidence that more major initiatives would follow in the coming years.

The approved projects include the beautification of Trikaripur town; second-phase BM and BC work on a 4.5-km stretch of the Neeleswaram-Thaikadapuram road; BM and BC work on a 3-km stretch of the Cherupuzha bridge-Ayannur-Kundeni road; construction of a seawall from Padanna Kadapuram to Trikaripur Kadapuram in Valiyaparamba grama panchayat; development of the Kooliyad Government Higher Secondary School ground; construction of a check dam at Pungamchal across the Chitravahini river in West Eleri grama panchayat; construction of a 30,000-litre water tank at Purathekkai in Nileshwaram municipality; replacement of tiles and installation of protective grills at the MRS Vellachal school and hostel; establishment of a beach tourism facilitation centre at Valiyaparamba beach; and the Cheemeni Logistics High-Tech Vertical Industrial Park.

Mr. Warrier said the approvals reflect the government’s recognition of the constituency’s development priorities and would significantly boost infrastructure, tourism, water supply and employment generation in the region.
