Vande Bharat Express: Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express has completed three years of service today. The train was launched on April 25, 2023, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is being operated and maintained by the Southern Railway (SR) zone.

Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express operates between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, running via Shoranur Junction. This semi-high-speed train covers a distance of 588 km in about 8 hrs and 5 minutes from both ends.
