Vande Bharat Express: Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express has completed three years of service today. The train was launched on April 25, 2023, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is being operated and maintained by the Southern Railway (SR) zone.

Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express operates between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, running via Shoranur Junction. This semi-high-speed train covers a distance of 588 km in about 8 hrs and 5 minutes from both ends. Thus, this premium train has reduced the average travel time between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod by almost three hours. The Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express runs as train number 20634/20633.
Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express: Stoppages
During its journey between Trivandrum Central and Kasaragod, train number 20634/20633 stops at eight railway stations. These are: Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kozhikode and Kannur. It also covers 11 districts including Pathanamthitta and Malappuram.
Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat train: Timing
Train number 20634 Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express departs from Trivandrum Central at 05:15 hrs and reaches Kasaragod at 13:20 hrs. Train number 20633 Kasaragod-Trivandrum Central Vande Bharat Express leaves Kasaragod at 14:33 hrs and reaches Trivandrum Central at 22:40 hrs. The train runs on all days of the week except Thursday.
Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat train: Ticket price
The Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express has two types of seating arrangements: AC Chair Cars and Executive Chair Cars. The ticket price for travelling in an AC Chair Car between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod is Rs 1,615. For an Executive Chair Car, this comes up to Rs 2,905.
