‘Kingdom’ storms box office premiers; over Rs 6 cr in advances; Vijay Deverakonda eyes his biggest opening yet

After a year-long break from lead roles, Vijay Deverakonda is back—and how! In the US, more than 15,000 tickets were sold for premiere shows, with collections now crossing the 4,00,000 dollar mark. Back home, the film has already raked in Rs 6 crore in advance bookings, mostly from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and an additional Rs 50 lakh from Karnataka. The trailer and the popular track "Ragila Ragila" seem to have done the trick, reigniting excitement around Vijay’s mass appeal.

With grand premiere shows set for Thursday (July 31), the buzz is only getting louder.

Trade bets big on record-breaking opening

With a reported budget of Rs 130 crore and theatrical rights sold at Rs 54 crore, the stakes are high. To break even, 'Kingdom' needs to cross the Rs 108 crore mark at the global box office. But early signs are promising. Analysts predict the film may cross Rs 15 crore in advance bookings and could even touch Rs 20 crore before the first show rolls. If it delivers, Kingdom could become Vijay Deverakonda’s second Rs 100 crore hit after Geetha Govindam and redefine his box office standing.
