KLE Society hospital gets NABH accreditation

KLE Society’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital has received the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) certification.

The hospital’s quality team began by undergoing a Safe I assessment in 2016. This initial step laid the foundation for the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives.

It took a significant step forward by undergoing its first Entry Level assessment. This assessment marked the beginning of the hospital’s journey toward achieving NABH accreditation.

The hospital continued to build on its quality framework, as it underwent its second Entry Level assessment.

Two years later, in 2023, the hospital successfully completed its third Entry Level assessment, demonstrating its consistent commitment to quality and patient safety. Also, the hospital underwent QCI audit for ECHS empanelment.

Simultaneously, the hospital successfully completed six cycles of NABL certification.

In 2025, the hospital underwent a Full Level NABH assessment. To prepare for this assessment, the hospital developed over 120 policies and 60 manuals, ensuring that all aspects of patient care and hospital operations were aligned with NABH standards.

The hospital’s staff, including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, clerical staff and Class IV employees, underwent rigorous training on relevant topics as per NABH standards. This comprehensive training ensured that every staff member was equipped to provide high-quality care and support.

With improved patient satisfaction and better productivity among staff, NABH Accreditation will help increase community confidence in the services provided by credentialed medical staff at the hospital.

It also results in efficient services and quality care for patients. NABH lays emphasis on better patient satisfaction scores that results in good clinical outcomes, society chairman Prabhakar Kore said.

The society chairman and members and medical director Colonel M. Dayanand congratulated the hospital team for successfully obtaining accreditation.
