A spa employee’s gang-rape in Kerala’s Thiruvalla shook the entire administration. The survivor shared chilling details of the incident and recounted the “35 minutes of horror." As per the reports, the survivor told police that she was sexually assaulted with a knife to her neck.

She also suspected that one of the accused, Chacko, was under the influence of drugs. According to her statement to the police, she was assaulted in a locked room for about 35 minutes.

The brutal incident took place on February 1 when a six-member gang led by history-sheeter Subin Alexander Chacko barged into a spa in Thiruvalla and allegedly gang-raped the employee after she refused to pay “goonda tax" or extortion money demanded by them.

According to the police, two of the accused — Chacko and Berlin Das — are arrested in the case and a manhunt for the other four accused is underway.

The police shared horrific details of the incident and stated that the gang allegedly barged into the spa around 3:30 pm and demanded Rs 50,000. When the staff refused, Subin and his associates forcibly entered, threatened the woman employee, and committed the assault.

According to the FIR, Subin dragged the employee into a room, locked the door, held a steel knife to her neck, stripped her clothes, and raped her. He also clicked selfies and brutally assaulted her on the face and body.

Furthermore, the gang members also brought another customer inside the room and forced both the victim and the customer to lie together. They recorded videos before harassing the customer as well.

The accused allegedly robbed Rs 25,000 from the spa.

Subin Alexander, who is already facing multiple criminal cases and had been booked previously under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (KAPPA) Act, is considered a high-risk repeat offender.
