As excitement around the FIFA World Cup 2026 continues to build, South Kolkata came alive with a colourful World Cup Fun Carnival Rally that brought together more than 1,000 football enthusiasts, fan clubs, artists and cultural performers in a grand celebration of the beautiful game.

Flagged off from Vivekananda Park, the rally wound its way through key neighbourhoods in South Kolkata, transforming the city's streets into a vibrant carnival of football and Bengali culture. The procession featured traditional dhakis, energetic Chau dancers, cheerleaders and football-themed performances, creating a festive atmosphere that resonated with the city's deep-rooted love for the sport.
