Kollam district records 78.79% pass percentage in Plus Two

Kollam district has recorded a pass percentage of 78.79% in the second-year Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examination results. Out of the 25,137 students who appeared for the exams from 133 schools across the district, 19,805 students have qualified for higher education. This year, a total of 2,506 students secured an ‘A Plus’ grade in all subjects.

In the Open School category, the district registered a 47% pass rate. Out of the 683 students who took the examination under this scheme, 321 candidates qualified for higher studies. Additionally, 11 students from the Open School category managed to secure an ‘A Plus’ in all of their subjects.

Meanwhile, the Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) section recorded a pass percentage of 77.76%. Out of the 3,454 students who appeared for the VHSE examinations, 2,686 students qualified for higher education. Making a stellar achievement in this category, the J.F. Kennedy Memorial VHSS in Karunagappally secured a 100% success rate, with all of its students passing the examination.
