Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stressed the need for collective efforts by elected representatives across party lines for development, stating that the government is focusing on resolving traffic bottlenecks, expanding national highways and promoting tourism in and around Ibrahimpatnam.
Addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone for modern four-lane road projects worth ₹338 crore to be taken up under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) in the Ibrahimpatnam, Medchal, and Maheshwaram Assembly constituencies, he said that projects are aimed at strengthening regional connectivity and easing traffic congestion in the fast-growing outskirts of Hyderabad.
Mr. Venkat Reddy said road development was among the government’s top priorities. He stated that road works worth ₹85 crore had already been completed in the constituency, while projects worth ₹275 crore were under execution. He also directed officials to prepare proposals for an additional ₹100 crore worth of new road works.
Meanwhile, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy urged officials to prepare proposals for a flyover and underpass at Lakshmireddypalem, while MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy said the government was simultaneously taking up a 200-bed government hospital, the modernisation of government schools, and road expansion works.
State Road Development Corporation Chairman Malreddy Ram Reddy said the government was giving equal importance to welfare and infrastructure development.
MPs Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Etala Rajender, MLC Shankar Naik, and other public representatives attended the event.
