Konark Infra director among four booked in alleged land grab case in Ulhasnagar

Pradeep GuptaUlhasnagar: The Hill Line police in Ulhasnagar have registered a case of cheating and forgery against four persons, including Nand Jethani, a director of Konark Infrastructure Company, for allegedly tampering with land records and govt documents in an attempt to usurp a parcel of land worth crores of rupees.Besides Nand Jethani, the FIR names Dhiraj Jethani and Nagesh Gaikar, while the fourth accused has yet to be identified. The case was registered following a complaint filed by Anil Shrichand Ahuja (50), a builder and resident of Ulhasnagar.According to the police complaint, the disputed property is located at Shahad village in Ulhasnagar and comprises a plot measuring around 25 gunthas. The complainant has alleged that the accused manipulated land-related documents and misused official procedures to claim ownership and possession of the property.Police records indicate that the alleged offences took place between March 21, 2022 and May 13, 2022. The complaint alleges that documents connected with the land were altered and submitted to revenue authorities to facilitate a transfer of possession. Based on the complaint of Ahuja, Hill Line police made a primary investigation by collecting all related documentsand based on findings on Tuesday, have registered offences under the relevant provisions relating to cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy.

Nand Jethani is a well-known developer in the Ulhasnagar region. Konark Infrastructure has executed several infrastructure and construction projects and has secured multiple government contracts in different parts of Maharashtra.S Surewad, police sub-inspector of Hill Line police station, said so far no arrest has been made, and cases are currently under investigation and based on further finding action will be taken against accused.
