Kottayam youth dies after bike falls into stream at Chengara Mukku

Kottayam: A youth was killed after a bike fell into a stream at Chengara Mukku in Vadasserikkara, Pathanamthitta, on Thursday night.The deceased is Advaith, 20, a native of Thalachira. He and his friend Abhijith, 20, a native of Uthimood, were returning home after watching a football match and installing a flex board.

The bike hit a culvert and then fell into a stream about 15ftdeep at Chengara Mukku.Locals came to know about the accident hours later after they found Abhijith sitting in front of a nearby shop in a weak condition. Subsequently, based on the information he provided, the bike involved in the accident and Advaith’s body were found during a search conducted in the stream. The body was handed over to relatives after a postmortem at Konni Medical College Hospital.
