Krithi Shetty will be seen in the upcoming Vignesh Shivan directorial ‘Love Insurance Kompany,’ also known as LIK, playing the leading role opposite ‘Dude’ and ‘Dragon’ fame Pradeep Ranganathan. After multiple delays, the film is set to hit the big screens on April 10.
Ahead of its release, the actress recently shared how she became a part of the project.
Krithi Shetty talks about joining ‘Love Insurance Kompany’
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Krithi Shetty shared that it was a very quick decision for her. She shared, “Vignesh Shivan sir narrated the film, and I think it’s one of the quickest yeses that I’ve ever said!”
Film took time due to heavy preparation
Krithi Shetty said the team started shooting the film two years ago. But before that, they spent a lot of time in preparation.
Since the film is set in the future, they had to plan everything carefully. She said, “So we started filming about two years ago. But since the film is based in the future, they had to do a lot of pre-production before going on board.” She also shared that she was shooting for another film at the same time, but things worked out well in the end.The ‘ARM’ star also shared that the story felt very cute and relatable to her. She explained that even though the film is set in the future, it talks about things we already see today.
She said, “Even 10 years ago, some of the things we do today would have sounded bizarre... but now it’s relevant.” She gave a simple example. She said today people take photos of everything they eat and share it online. She added, “If you don’t post it on Instagram, you feel like you’re missing out.
All these things we’ve explored, which I think people will really connect to.”
Kirthi Shetty on love in the future vs old-school romance
When asked about the story, Krithi Shetty did not fully reveal it. She smiled and said, “I can neither confirm nor deny this!” She spoke about new terms in love, like situationships and others. She said that in the future, such things will become normal. But she also said some people will still believe in simple and old-style love. She explained how these two ideas of love clash and what happens next in the film.
