BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao announced that he would personally sponsor the education and empowerment of 50 economically-underprivileged young women, coinciding with his 50th birthday.

Addressing the annual SPARSA 2026 meeting on Friday, he said he would bear the educational expenses of 50 these disadvantaged young women through his personal funds beginning this year. He described the initiative as a humanitarian responsibility, saying that extending support to those in need was the duty of every responsible citizen.

Praising SPARSA for its social initiatives under the theme “Touch a Life,” Mr. Rama Rao said the organisation had transformed the lives of thousands of families by promoting women’s education, skill development and employment opportunities.

KTR also expressed hope that such initiatives would receive institutional support in the future and assured his cooperation for programmes aimed at promoting education and empowerment.
