HYDERABAD
Congress MLC and Government Whip Addanki Dayakar accused Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao of instigating the State Bank of India (SBI) to approach the courts after the government initiated the land auction process.
He also accused the BRS of attempting to deny Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy credit for the proposed auction of government land, which, he claimed, could fetch substantial revenue for the State. He further accused the Opposition party of spreading misinformation over the proposed monetisation of land parcels, including those in the University of Hyderabad (UoH) area.
Mr. Dayakar, in a statement, alleged that the BRS leadership, which had “looted and amassed wealth” during its tenure, was now holding meetings and making baseless allegations against the Congress government. Referring to KTR’s criticism of the Musi project, Mr. Dayakar said the former Minister was resorting to false propaganda as he was unable to accept the Congress government’s initiatives. He alleged that the BRS was unable to accept the Centre’s decision to allot 83 acres for the Musi project.
The MLC alleged that during the 10-year BRS rule, lands belonging to Dalits in areas surrounding Hyderabad were extensively grabbed.
