Kubbra Sait is all set and ready for her feature in David Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. The ‘Sacred Games’ actress recently talked about her latest project as well as starring alongside batchmates Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur.Sait opens up about her feature in ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ is Kubbra’s latest feature, and the actress shared how it is a “legacy project” for her, and even though it was a one-day shoot, she was honoured to be featured in the project. During an interview at the Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI 2025 with PTI, the actress talked about starring alongside the people she used to study with. She also mentioned, “For me, it’s a legacy project, because I’m working with ‘the’ David Dhawan.
It was also giving me a chance to work with Mrunal Thakur, whom I last worked with in Son of Sardaar 2. So, it would have been an extension of our earlier collaboration”.She also talked about how starring alongside Varun Dhawan was something that she had been looking forward to. She shared, “Varun Dhawan has been my classmate in my acting class! Lastly, Maniesh Paul is someone I have shared the stage with for so many years. So, that for me was a project I would never say no to, even if it was an hour’s job”.
Kubbra recalls her days at acting school with DhawanDhawan and Sait had been batchmates during their time in acting school. She also recalled how she used to skip out on classes and was “the worst student”, however, Dhawan, on the other hand, was the polar opposite of her. She recalled, “We were in the same batch. I would [often] run away to do my events and other stuff; I think I was the worst student in the class. Varun, on the other hand, was the most hardworking student”.
