The pain of losing Kyle Busch is still fresh for his family. Nearly a month after the NASCAR star’s sudden death at the age of 41, his widow Samantha Busch has shared two deeply personal moments that she believes were messages from her late husband.

In an emotional Instagram post, Samantha described seeing a bright rainbow shining across Kyle’s sandals and a strange encounter with a bird during a church service. She said both moments brought her comfort during some of the hardest days since his passing.

Samantha said one of her most difficult nights came about a week after Kyle’s death. After spending hours crying and struggling to sleep, she walked into their bathroom and noticed a rainbow shining directly across a pair of Kyle’s sandals that had not been moved since before he died.“After Brexton’s birthday party, Kyle had kicked off his sandals in our bathroom, and we never moved them,” Samantha wrote.

She explained that she understood how the rainbow was created, saying sunlight was reflecting through a chandelier. Still, she found the timing impossible to ignore.“I’ve been awake at every hour imaginable, through every season and all kinds of weather, and I have never once seen a rainbow appear here,” she wrote.

Samantha added that she lay down on the sandals and felt a sense of peace, believing it was a sign from Kyle. The post was shared on Instagram and later reported by People and the New York Post.

Samantha also spoke about attending church, where she noticed a bird flying around throughout the service. She said the bird later came close to where she was sitting, looked directly at her and eventually appeared near her feet while people were praying.“I know some people will say it was just a bird and just a rainbow,” Samantha wrote. “Maybe they’re right.”But for her, the experience felt different. “It feels like God is reminding me that I’m not alone and that Kyle is letting me know he’s okay.”Kyle and Samantha shared two children, Brexton, 11, and Lennix, 4. Recently, Brexton returned to racing and finished sixth in the Young Lions division at the Cook Out Summer Shootout, with Samantha supporting him at the track. Meanwhile, Richard Childress revealed that he and Kyle had planned to announce a new deal that would have kept the two-time Cup Series champion with Richard Childress Racing through 2027. The agreement was never publicly revealed before Kyle’s death, adding another emotional layer to a loss that continues to be felt across NASCAR.
