Labindia Vidu rides into the Goan market in style: In conversation with Shrikant Bapat, CMD, Labindia

Starting with a high-tech field of instrumentation, Shrikant Bapat established Labindia and progressed from maintenance to manufacturing. His primary thought is that success is a journey, not a destination, and is dedicated to the needs of the common man.

Hence, Labindia Vidu electric bicycle became a reality. Here are excerpts from an interview with Shrikant Bapat, CMD, Labindia. Media Adventures of India (Goa division), a group of students, held an interactive session with Shrikant Bapat. MAI: Tell us about your experience of launching and promoting Labindia Vidu at Goa?Shrikant Bapat : Goa is a globally acknowledged compact destination. Visitors rejoice at the roads and infrastructure, along with discipline and genuine hospitality.

Positive leadership and initiatives by the Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte, add to this mesmerising combination as a tourist destination. Goa reflects a sense of belonging through facilities, infrastructure and the willingness of the people to sustain the same with pleasing smiles.

You feel Goa once you experience the same by personally visiting.MAI: Why did you always say you begin with Goa?Shrikant Bapat : Advantages of Goa include compact, environmentally clean location, proximity of excellent beaches, rivers ,river fronts and forests.

Worship places, beaches present unmatched blessings of beauty, peace and tranquility, whereas forests provide a sense of resonance with nature. Compact location enriches experiences and makes it ideal for a pollution-free ride with Labindia Vidu bicycle to tread through the lanes and beaches, enjoying nature.

VIDU turns into an electric vehicle at the flip of a button, making it easier and more convenient.

MAI: How will you describe Goa and your association Shrikant Bapat : Speaking of impressive locations, Miramar, Dona Paula, Panaji,Morjim,Colva enchant whereas places such as Saptakoteshwar,Mangeshi, Nageshi, Shantadurga, St Clarkes Church, St Christopher Church, Our Lady of Rosary Church , restore peace of mind with inherent tranquility. We are only contributing to the environmental ride with ease Goa is a global destination and sets an example for nature preservation, and we are only contributing with our Labindia Vidu.

MAI: What about Labindia Vidu’s proposals for entrepreneurs?Shrikant Bapat : Entrepreneurs are my connection to the users. We have worked out extremely beneficial dealership schemes for the State of Goa. We will educate them about the mechanism and also the primary structure that they need to create, and they can ride on opportunities.

MAI: Besides focusing on Goa,what are your plans ? Shrikant Bapat : It was a moment of pride that Labindia Vidu participated in the TOISA ( Times of India Sports Awards ) in Lucknow. Cycle is a sport, and the award is a recognition of several sports which enables to develop sportsmanship. We recently launched the Konkani song DEV BARE KARU with all the talented persons from Goa, and was launched by the Tourism & IT Minister of Goa, Rohan A Khaunte.

The Labindia Vidu electric bicycle was launched by Sadanand Shet Tanavade ( Rajya Sabha MP ) along with Hemaa Sardesai , and Milind Gunaji in the presence of prominent personalities.
