Lamar Jackson's net worth is estimated at $40 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. For a two-time NFL MVP and one of the most dominant quarterbacks in the league right now, that number looks low.
It won't stay that way.Jackson, 29, has already collected over $144 million in NFL salary. In 2024, Forbes ranked him the 10th highest-paid athlete in the world, with $100.5 million in total earnings that year, $98.5 million on-field, $2 million off. Right now, the Baltimore Ravens are pushing hard to get him a new deal before free agency opens. The next contract could reset the market entirely.
How Jackson's $260 million Ravens deal stacks up in 2026, and why it already makes him look underpaid among elite NFL quarterbacks
Jackson signed a five-year, $260 million extension with Baltimore in April 2023, a deal he negotiated himself, without an agent.
At the time, his $72.5 million signing bonus was a league record and his $52 million average annual value topped the quarterback market. Three years on, he ranks 10th among quarterbacks in AAV, per Spotrac. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott earns $60 million per year. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen carries $250 million in guarantees.
Jackson has two years and $104 million left on his current deal. His 2026 cap hit sits at $74.5 million, the second-highest in the NFL, per ESPN.
The Ravens want a new deal done before free agency. Ravens GM Eric DeCosta said at the NFL combine in February: "I am. I definitely am," when asked if he was confident an extension could get done. Former Ravens coach John Harbaugh predicted Jackson's next deal would make him the NFL's highest-paid player again.
To top Prescott, that means north of $60 million per year.
Beyond the Ravens contract, Jackson has built a quiet business empire that goes well past endorsements and jerseys
Jackson's off-field income trailed his peers heavily in 2024, with Forbes putting that figure at just $2 million.
His endorsement portfolio includes Oakley, Nike, New Era, Bose, and Gatorade, but he hasn't landed the volume of deals that quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes have.Where he makes up ground is in business. Jackson runs Era 8 Apparel, a clothing and cologne brand. He owns Play Action Soul Food, a restaurant in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Fla. He publishes books under LJ Writes, operates a music label called LJ Entertainment, and runs Forever Dreamers, a non-profit centered on flag football for kids. In 2018, he paid $900,000 cash for an eight-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion in Owings Mills, Md., near the Ravens' practice facility, per the New York Post.Jackson turns 30 this year. His next contract, which Baltimore is actively working to finalize, could push his career earnings well past $400 million and close the gap between what he makes and what he is actually worth.
