The land transfer and project commencement ceremony for the Sandbox mini tech park, to be developed at the Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode, was held recently.
The land for the project was handed over by the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KITFRA) to the Sandbox team.
Speaking at the event, Santhosh Babu, IAS, managing director, KITFRA, said Kozhikode was emerging as a preferred destination for technology investments.
“Kozhikode is becoming a destination of choice. We have the talent and Kerala has the energy. The State government is taking very positive steps. Over the next two years, there will be huge demand for land. We need to build our own billion-dollar economy here,” he said.
The Sandbox’s mini-tech park, the first private co-developer project in the Cyberpark, is planned as a Grade A technology workspace covering approximately 30,000 square feet.
