Lauren Sanchez just became the bride of the year after her lavish wedding to billionaire Jeff Bezos. The 55-year-old former journalist, licensed pilot and author tied the knot with the Amazon and Blue Origin founder in Venice, Italy with their friends and family by their side.The bride who changed her Instagram handle to 'laurensanchezbezos' quickly after the nuptials and wiped out her previous posts unrelated to the wedding, shared photos of the awaited ceremony on her social media.She shared photos following the nuptials where she and Bezos could be seen walking down the aisle after the ceremony. In another post, she revealed her dress designed by the luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana."Not just a gown, a piece of poetry," she captioned the post.

"Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made."

In a video posted by Vogue Magazine on their social media handle, Sanchez can be seen posing in her dress addressing her choice of wedding fit. "I'm just like so emotional. I'm going to be a mess but in the best possible way."When asked about the dress, she shared how it "carried everything I've walked through to get here. It's elegant, it's timeless, it's soft. Domenico really captured something that feels like where I am right in this moment, right now."

Lauren Sanchez's wedding dress was a combination of fashion classics, including lace, a mermaid-line silhouette, buttons down the dress, long sleeves and a mid-length train. The bride completed the look with Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria Miracolo earrings and a veil."I've never had a dress designed for me like this -- something so personal," she said to Vogue.When it came to choosing her gown she said how her choice went from 'a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'something that evokes a moment and where I am right now.'She also shared that she researched brides in the 1950s for some design inspiration and saw a photograph of Sophia Loren wearing "high lace, up to the neck and I said, 'That's it. That's the dress."What's interesting to know is that Sanchez kept the dress a surprise even from her groom. "I almost gave in!" she said. "But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can't wait to see his face."
