Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will create digital dossiers for every allotted and vacant property under its jurisdiction and assign each a unique Property ID to streamline property records and reduce fraud and ownership disputes.The database will integrate sanctioned building maps, allotment details, payment records, legal status and ground verification reports on a single platform. Currently, different departments maintain these records, making verification and file tracking time-consuming. Officials said the new system will reduce paperwork and speed up property verification.Officials said the system will help buyers and allottees verify a property's legal status before the purchase, reducing the risk of buying disputed or encroached land.
It will also enable the authority to identify unauthorised construction, deviations from sanctioned building plans, pending litigation and illegal occupation, allowing quicker action.LDA officials said the Property ID-based system will help recover pending dues, identify vacant properties and check encroachments on its land. It will also improve coordination between departments by making all property-related records available on a single platform.
