LeBron James' record 1,297-game streak of scoring 10 points ended against the Toronto Raptors, but his assist to Rui Hachimura sealed a Lakers win.

All good things must come to an end, even for LeBron James.

In the midst of his record 23rd NBA season, the Lakers superstar saw his jaw-dropping streak of consecutive games scoring at least 10 points — 1,297 games straight — come to a close on Thursday night.

Against the Toronto Raptors, James finished with just eight points on 4-of-17 shooting, his lowest output since January 5, 2007.

But in true LeBron fashion, the streak ended with a win, not a whimper.

With the game tied at 120–120 and seconds left, James had the ball. A scrambling help defender left Rui Hachimura wide open in the corner.

Instead of forcing a shot and trying to extend the streak, LeBron made the selfless play, passing to Hachimura, who drained the buzzer-beater for a thrilling Lakers victory.

“That’s not going to be a habit," James joked post-game about the streak ending — though the Lakers walked away victorious.

The 21-time All-Star’s streak had been over 400 games longer than Michael Jordan’s second-longest streak of 866 games, cementing LeBron’s place in basketball history as the most consistent scorer of all time.

The Lakers will return to action Friday against their rivals, the Boston Celtics, in the second night of a back-to-back, before closing out their road trip on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

While the streak may have ended, the legacy — and the Lakers’ winning ways — remain very much alive.
