Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni is marking his long-awaited return to the big screens with the upcoming village romance drama, ‘Lenin’ opposite Bhagyashri Borse. If the latest reports are to be believed the film seems to be pushed ahead again.According to a report by Gulte, ‘Lenin’ is likely to be postponed from June 26, 2026. The makers are considering a new release date because some important work on the film is still pending. While there is no official announcement yet, reports suggest that the movie could arrive in theatres on July 10, 2026.
Post-production work still underway
It is also suggested that visual effects work and final editing are still in progress. The team is reportedly taking extra time to complete the film properly before releasing it to audiences.
The makers do not want to rush the process and are focusing on delivering a better final product. Because of this, a delay is being discussed.
Release delays
This is not the first time ‘Lenin’ has faced a postponement. The film was originally scheduled to hit theatres on May 1, 2026.Later, the makers shifted the release to June 26 to avoid a box office clash with Ram Charan's ‘Peddi’, which was then expected to release on the same date. Interestingly, ‘Peddi’ was later postponed as well, leading to further changes in the release calendar.
Earlier, the film featured
Sreeleela
as the female lead. She even appeared in the first glimpse released by the makers. However, due to scheduling issues, she stepped away from the project. Actress Bhagyashri Borse later joined the film as the heroine.
