New Delhi: Lenovo has officially started to gearing up to extend its compact gaming tablet lineup with the latest smaller Legion gaming tablet that will also going to support 5G conectivity. Lenovo hasn’t revealed the official name or complete specs about the gaming tablet, some details has now been confirmed or strongly hinted at.

Lenovo appears to be aiming at gamers who prefer a device that is easier to hold for extended gaming sessions. This display is expected to remain in the 8-inch class, though it might be slightly smaller than the existing model.

One of the major updates is an OLED panel, replacing the LCD used on the previous Legion Y700 models. The refresh rate hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the company’s Legion tablets typically feature high-refresh displays focused at gamers. Lenovo has officially confirmed that the tablet will support 5G connectivity by enabling users to play cloud games without relying on Wi-Fi, download games faster over cellular networks, stream content on the move, and use the tablet as a productivity device while traveling.

Lenovo hasn’t disclosed the processor; industry expectations point to the flagship Qualcomm chipset. It might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite series processor. It offers an advanced cooling system, stereo speakers, gaming performance modes, USB-C connectivity, support for gaming accessories, and a large battery with fast charging.

Several of these remain speculative until Lenovo publishes the full specs. Android gaming tablet market is becoming increasingly competitive. The company has not yet announced the official unveil date, pricing, or complete specifications.
