Ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, the seven-time F1 champion traded the racetrack for a dojo in Tokyo because for him dominating Formula One wasn’t enough.‘So surreal to have a lesson with him’Hamilton decided to level up his pre-race routine by training with legendary samurai artist Tetsuro Shimaguchi, the artist who choreographed the iconic sword fights in Kill Bill. Sharing the moment with his 42.7 million Instagram followers, Hamilton wrote: “Back in the dojo. So unreal to have a lesson with a legendary samurai artist.” Fans ate it up – clocking over 1.5 million likes in just a few hours.Mastering the art of control with sharper toolsBut this wasn’t just a cool celeb moment – it got surprisingly deep. Hamilton reflected on his childhood karate days, sharing: “I first started having lessons to help me handle the bullies at school… it instilled in me discipline, respect and humility.” Back then, bowing to his sensei felt confusing. “I didn’t understand why we had to bow when I was younger… but as I’ve grown up… I came to appreciate the beauty of the gesture.
