Another night, another defeat — it’s only getting worse by the week for Chelsea.

The Blues were swept aside 3-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion, extending a dreadful run that now has the club staring at a full-blown crisis.

Chelsea have now lost five consecutive matches without scoring, their worst such streak since 1912.

Across all competitions, their reality is even bleaker — 7 defeats in their last 8 games and just 1 win in their last 9 league matches.

And to top it all off, Brighton’s win not only piled on the misery but also saw them leapfrog Chelsea in the Premier League table — at a time when the Blues’ UCL hopes are already hanging by a thread.

Rosenior Blasts His Players

Manager Liam Rosenior didn’t hold back after their woeful outing last night.

“I have defended the players at times… but I can’t defend that performance," a spirited Rosenior stated. “It doesn’t represent this football club… that has to change."

The Chelsea boss, who was met with chants calling for his sacking, went even further.

“That’s indefensible… the manner of the goals we conceded, the amount of duels we lost, the lack of intensity."

“I think the players need to have a look in the mirror… tactics come after the basics."

What’s Broken at Chelsea?

There’s a delectable amalgamation of things going wrong altogether at Stamford Bridge.

From a squad struggling for confidence, to a manager who faces mounting pressure with every passing day, and fans losing patience fast, there seems to be no easy way out right now.

With Chelsea now seven points behind fifth-placed Liverpool (having played a game more), their push for Europe is slipping away.
