Lightning strike kills 13-year-old girl in Khunti

Ranchi: A 13-year-old girl was killed and a woman suffered burn injuries in a lightning strike at Bagdu village in Khunti district on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Mahima Dhan, a Class VIII student, while the injured woman is Dashmi Bhengra.The victims were returning home with goats when the weather turned stormy and lightning struck them both. Locals rushed them to a local hospital, where a doctor declared Mahima “brought dead”. Dashmi is undergoing treatment.
