Football icon Lionel Messi will reportedly stay with Inter Miami beyond the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Inter Miami and Lionel Messi have reportedly reached an agreement to extend the Argentine star’s contract, ensuring he remains in Major League Soccer (MLS) beyond next year’s FIFA World Cup. The extension will keep 38-year-old Messi active through next year’s FIFA showpiece hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

News agency AFP reports that an official announcement is expected within the next two weeks.
