Reality show Lock Upp has been making headlines ever since its premiere, with contestants grabbing attention for their explosive fights and shocking revelations. One of the biggest controversies erupted after contestant Sufi Motiwala accused fellow inmate Varun Yadav, popularly known as Laila, of bullying him at a party before the show.
Now, social media personality Orry has come out in support of Varun, dismissing the allegations and defending his friend’s character.Reacting to a viral Instagram video about the controversy, Orry said, “It’s true we are good friends, maybe that balding guy in the video hit on him and got rejected, so now that balding fellow is claiming that Laila is anti-LGBTQ. Laila is like a brother to me and has always been supportive and encouraging, and I will not stand anyone saying anything against him for clout or views.”Orry further addressed the criticism surrounding Varun and said, “I didn’t ignore it… I just don’t know why Arush’s personal views about how he would want to build a family affect you. You can’t control everyone… focus on yourself. If he has a son who’s gay, then maybe you can wake up and adopt the disowned son. But until then, try to be happy… and content is content, chill. People do worse things for views. Again… focus on yourself and not on his content.
”The controversy began after Sufi made an explosive allegation against Varun during an argument inside the Lock Upp house. During a pairing activity that turned into a heated confrontation, Sufi recalled an incident that allegedly took place before they entered the reality show.Sharing his experience, Sufi claimed, “I went to a mutual friend’s party where he was there with his friends. They all surrounded me and started bullying me. They played ‘Kajra Re’ and asked me to dance. It made me feel very uncomfortable, and things reached a point where I felt unsafe. Later, he had to leave the house.”
