Shilpa Shinde on Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer; ‘He begged me to return after 9 years’

Actor Shilpa Shinde has once again addressed the controversy surrounding the false se*ual harassment complaint she admitted to filing against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer Sanjay Kohli. During the latest episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, the actor defended her actions and claimed that the producer later requested her to return to the show. While speaking on the reality show, Shilpa said she had used every possible means to fight her battle. “I used sam, daam, dand, bhed. I didn’t misuse the law, I used it. If you say I twisted the law to turn it in my favour, then you are the same people who light candles after a woman dies, saying she didn’t fight for herself,” she said.

Shilpa further claimed that despite everything that happened, she now shares a cordial relationship with Sanjay Kohli. She added, “He’s good to me. 9 saal ke baad mujhe gidgidake wapas show mein liya hai. Kyun liya? (He begged me to return to the show after nine years. Why did he do so? )”During the discussion, fellow contestant Yogesh disagreed with her stance.

Refusing to accept his opinion, Shilpa concluded the conversation by saying, “I am right, you are just a kid. You’ll realise when something like this happens to you.”The controversy began resurfacing in June when Shilpa appeared on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast and admitted that the sexual harassment complaint she filed against the producers of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain in 2016 was false.Explaining her decision, she said, “At that time, I filed a sexual harassment complaint against my producer because I felt I had no other option left.

Looking back, I still feel it was a huge step. All doors were closed on me. I believed there was no other way to get out of the situation. When you go to file an FIR, the police ask you to provide specific details and allegations. Coming from a law background, I was aware of the process.

Today, I want to say that the allegations I made were not true. I am admitting this for the first time. The matter was eventually settled, and after the settlement, I received my pending payment a few months later.”Her admission sparked widespread criticism on social media, with several television personalities, including Hina Khan and Pooja Bedi, condemning her for filing what she now says was a false complaint.
