With 'Lokah', the director Dominic Arun has indeed created a 'Stranger Things' style universe and kudos to the co-writer Santhy Balachandran for her magnificent writing contribution.

Now, the actor Chandu Salimkumar, who plays Venu in the film, has turned in-character to write heartfelt letters to Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie and Tovino Thomas’ Chathan. Although the fan letters are humorous, there are also some minute details in it.

Venu says even Odiyan needs friends

In his letter to Charlie, Venu introduces himself as “Chandra’s neighbour, but more importantly, Michael’s bestie.” He admits he never imagined Odiyan to be so cool, adding that Dulquer’s Charlie looked like a rockstar rather than a magician.

The letter is packed with humour, with Venu joking, “If I had met you earlier, I would’ve definitely asked you to shapeshift into Jimmy Uncle. But the funny thing is, you already look a little like him.

” He urges Charlie to drop the frown and smile more often, saying, “If you smile once in a while, half the neighbourhood might actually faint.” The note ends with the friendly reminder that “even Odiyans need friends.”

Dulquer’s response wins hearts

Dulquer Salmaan didn’t hold back in replying to the letter.

“Appreciate this letter Venu. Making me smile is usually not so easy. Also the resemblance to Jimmy Uncle. Who knows. Maybe we are related in other realm,” he wrote, before offering a word of advice: “Don’t get dead in mythic superhero crossfire. Lastly. It’s rude to peep into others rooms.”

Dulquer Salmaan's response hints at something bigger ahead, with battles and more conflicts in the upcoming chapters of 'Lokah'.

While Kalyani Priyadarshan commented with heart emoji's, the co-writer Santhy Balachandran commented, "I’m sure this made Odiyan smile."Meanwhile, for Tovino Thomas' character Chathan, Venu wrote, "Dear Chathettan, I hope your babysitting work went well. It was such a joy meeting you and spending time together. Honestly, I think I’ve become a fan of yours—I must have been your fanboy even in my previous life! There’s something about you that makes me feel we share a special connection.

What you placed in my hands is no ordinary object - The keys are safe in my hands—always safe.

I treasure them more than anything, and if it comes to it, I’d give my life to protect them. That’s how much they, and you, mean to me." He added, "Chathetta, I’ve also been writing to your friend Odiyanchettan. He isn’t as fun as you, but I have to admit, he’s pretty cool in his own way. Please do visit us again sometime soon—we’ll chill together, just like old friends. And if you can, tell your friend Chandra to be a little more polite with me. She doesn’t always go easy on me, and yes, we did get into a fight. But don’t worry—I’m fine, and it’s all good now. I’ll be waiting eagerly for the next time we meet. Until then, keep being the legend you are. Hasta La Vista, Chathetta."
