IT Minister Nara Lokesh visits Sri Kalabhairaveshwara Swamy temple at Adi Chunchanagiri in Mandya district of Karnataka.

Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday visited the historic Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt in Nagamangala taluk of Mandya district, Karnataka. The Mutt, with a legacy of over 1,800 years, is revered as a centre of knowledge, devotion, and service.

During the visit, Mr. Lokesh offered special prayers to Sri Kalabhairaveshwara Swamy at the temple on the premises. He also interacted with the administrators to learn about the wide range of spiritual and social service activities being undertaken by the Mutt. Later, he received the blessings of Jagadguru Sri Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, the 72nd pontiff of the Mutt.

The Minister toured the educational and healthcare institutions run by the Mutt, including schools, a medical college, hospital, and university. He showed particular interest in the Samvit schools, which provide free education from Class 6 to Intermediate, along with full facilities for underprivileged students. Administrators informed him that the Mutt also offers financial support to students pursuing higher studies in any State after Intermediate.

Appreciating these initiatives, Mr. Lokesh requested that a Samvit school be established in Andhra Pradesh for the benefit of poor students. The proposal was welcomed and agreed to by Jagadguru Sri Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, according to a press release.
