Lord Malayappa Swamy blesses devotees in pearl armour as part of Jyestabhishekam at Tirumala

The Pearl Kavacham Darshan is considered one of the most cherished spectacles in Tirumala

Tirupati: Spiritual fervour marked the second day Jyestabhishekam festivities at Tirumala as Lord Malayappa Swamy adorned with a Pearl armour blessed the devotees on Saturday.As part of the annual Sri Venkateswara Swamy Jyeshtabhishekam, the second day’s rituals were observed with grandeur at Tirumala on Saturday. Sri Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by His divine consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, adorned the exquisite Pearl Kavacham (Muthyapu Kavacham) and blessed devotees during a majestic procession along the four Mada Streets of Tirumala.Earlier in the day, at 6.30 a.m., the processional deities were ceremoniously taken to the Sampangi Prakaram of the temple.

At 8.00 a.m., the temple priests and Vedic scholars performed the Maha Shanthi Homam as per Agamic traditions. Subsequently, from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., the sacred Abhideyaka Abhishekam was performed to Sri Malayappa Swamy and His consorts amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns, offering devotees a spiritually elevating experience.In the evening, the Pearl Kavacham was ceremoniously adorned to the deity, followed by the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, during which Sri Malayappa Swamy radiated unparalleled divine splendour. The Pearl Kavacham Darshan, offered only once a year during Jyeshtabhishekam, is considered one of the most cherished spectacles in Tirumala. Thousands of devotees were captivated by the Lord’s enchanting form and immersed themselves in devotion.Tirumala temple Pedda Jeeyar and Chinna Jeeyar Swamis, TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary and several Devasthanams officials took part.
