Los Angeles Lakers claim huge victory over New York Knicks in star-studded night as Martin Lawrence and several other celebrities cheered with crowd

The Los Angeles Lakers delivered one of their strongest performances of the season Sunday afternoon, defeating the New York Knicks 110–97 at Crypto.com Arena. The matchup between two of the NBA’s most historic franchises carried a big-game feel from the start.

Fans packed the arena, and the crowd reflected the cultural pull of both cities. New York supporters arrived wearing Knicks gear, while Los Angeles fans filled the seats with purple and gold.The contest also turned into a celebrity gathering that mirrored a Hollywood premiere. Several well-known figures sat courtside as the Lakers controlled the game from the opening quarter. Actor Martin Lawrence watched closely from a seat near the Lakers' bench while the home team built momentum.

Even without LeBron James in uniform, Los Angeles maintained control in the game.

Celebrities attend the Lakers-Knicks game

The atmosphere inside the arena stretched beyond basketball. The Lakers and Knicks often draw high-profile crowds, and Sunday’s matchup continued that trend. Martin Lawrence enjoyed the action courtside, seated across from James’ usual spot near the bench. Internet personality Jordan Howlett, known online as “Jordan the Stallion,” sat nearby.

Queens-born rapper Action Bronson, a longtime Knicks supporter, followed the game while wearing a Knicks hat. Across the court, comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen observed the matchup quietly.

Several other notable figures joined the audience. Television host Bill Maher attended with film producer Noor Alfallah. Actor Andy Garcia also sat courtside. Knicks legend Patrick Ewing and former Lakers center Dwight Howard were present as well.Musician Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers attended with designer Melody Ehsani and their son. Sports agent Rich Paul watched from his regular courtside seat. Comedian Jay Mohr sat beside Lakers governor Jeanie Buss. Actor Ray Nicholson, son of longtime Lakers fan Jack Nicholson, occupied his father’s well-known courtside seat. Larry David, Timothée Chalamet, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Kylie Jenner, Denzel Washington, John McEnroe, Brenda Song, Macaulay Culkin, Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Connolly, Kyler Murray, and NFL star Puka Nacua also attended the night.

Lakers secure huge win over Knicks

On the court, Los Angeles set the tone early. Luka Dončić led the offense with 35 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. His scoring burst in the third quarter helped stretch the Lakers’ lead and shifted the momentum firmly in their favor.Austin Reaves contributed 25 points along with four rebounds and five assists. Rui Hachimura added 13 points and seven rebounds. Luke Kennard scored 12 points off the bench. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds for the Knicks, and Jalen Brunson added 24 points and seven assists. The Knicks struggled with turnovers and outside shooting, which slowed their comeback effort late in the game.Despite a brief fourth-quarter push from New York, Los Angeles closed the final minutes with key baskets to secure the 13-point win.
