The lawyers’ canteen at the Delhi High Court stopped serving main course items after running out of LPG cylinders, citing uncertainty over when the supply will be restored. In a notice, the canteen management informed visitors that it was unable to prepare full meals due to the unavailability of cooking gas. The notice, reported by LiveLaw, said that the canteen regretted the inconvenience caused to lawyers and visitors.

“This is to respectfully inform you that due to the unavailability of the LPG gas cylinder at present, we regret that we are unable to prepare and serve the main course items in the Lawyers Canteen," the notice said.

The management added that there was currently no clarity on when the gas supply would resume.

“At the moment, we do not have any information regarding when the LPG supply will be restored. We will resume the preparation of the main course as soon as the gas supply becomes available," the notice stated.

The disruption comes amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia involving Iran, United States and Israel, which has affected global energy supply chains. Reports of shortages of commercial LPG cylinders have also emerged from major Indian cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai, where hotel and restaurant associations have flagged supply disruptions.
