Lucknow: The Lucknow University has introduced a major change in the admission process for its Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma) programme at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, effective from the academic session 2026–27.Until now, admissions to the BPharma course were conducted through the counselling process organised by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). However, from this year, the university will admit students based on their performance in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG).“Candidates seeking admission to the BPharma programme will be required to appear for CUET-UG 2026. Following the declaration of results, applicants can register online through Lucknow University’s admission portal.
The entire admission process will be conducted strictly based on merit prepared from CUET-UG scores,” said LU spokesperson Mukul Srivastava.He said the BPharma programme offers a total of 60 seats. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Mathematics, or both (PCB/PCM/PCMB), with English as one of the subjects.
