Miley Cyrus recalls lining up her squad for a music video; the record label shut down the idea

Miley Cyrus, the ‘Angeles Like You’ singer, revealed that she had her whole squad lined up to star in her music video, including the Queen of Pop, Madonna. Not only was the 66-year-old down to feature in Miley’s video, but she also gave a green signal to mud wrestle with Miranda Kerr.

Madonna was ready to mud wrestle...

In an interview with the Ringer’s Every Single Podcast, the 32-year-old singer revealed that she had convinced her celebrity friends to star in her '4×4' music video. “I had everyone already lined up. Nelly … Madonna was down to do the video, Miranda Cosgrove,” she said.

Referring to Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ from ‘1989’ music video, Miley jokingly said, “This was before Taylor [Swift] had a lot of famous people in her crew. I was friends with famous people first.

The Grammy winner recalled, “Madonna was down to mud wrestle with Miranda Kerr.”

"I was like, ‘I’m gonna get all these girls, all these supermodels, all these Victoria’s Secret models and all of these pop icons to come to my dad’s farm, get in the back of 4x4s, and we’re gonna mud wrestle, and we’re gonna go out and do doughnuts,” Cyus explained the idea for her music video.

Dua Lipa shouldn't have featured in 'Prisoner'...

Later in the episode, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer stated that she and her former record label, RCA, weren’t on the same page. Miley said that she wouldn’t have collaborated with Dua Lipa in the song ‘Prisoner’ in the album ‘Plastic Hearts.’ “No shade to Dua Lipa, it just isn’t cohesive with the album,” Miley said without any hesitation. Instead, Cyrus said that Dua Lipa would be better in something like ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ or ‘Wildcard’ - even ‘River.
