Madras Day: Chennai isn’t just a city but T.N.’s heartbeat, says Stalin

On the occasion of the Madras Day on Friday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hailed Chennai city and said it was not just a city but the heartbeat of Tamil Nadu. In a social media post, Mr. Stalin said it was the city that gave hope to those looking for a livelihood and provided wings to many women. Chennai gave the first salary to so many people and gave many others an identity in their home towns, Mr. Stalin said. The city, that sustains many people, had turned 386, the Chief Minister said.
