Magic Johnson, 66, shared new Instagram photos and video from his annual European family vacation with wife Cookie Johnson, highlighting stops in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, and Formentera, Spain.

Johnson opened the trip with a video posted to Instagram."We had an amazing day yesterday in Forte dei Marmi!" he wrote while sharing footage that showed family members aboard a luxury yacht along the Italian coastline.

Johnson’s yearly summer vacations have been headline grabbers over the years. Last year, around the same month, he documented a trip in Spain, posting photos from the island of Formentera, located near Ibiza. In the caption, Johnson highlighted the scenery that has become synonymous with the family's Mediterranean travels."Today we enjoyed lunch at the famous beach club Juan y Andrea on the island Formentera in Spain - just outside of Ibiza! The gathering mirrored previous summers when the family reunited aboard chartered yachts for extended European trips.

The vacation also reflects a family bond that has remained central to Johnson's public life for decades. Magic and Cookie first met at Michigan State University in 1978 and have been married since 1991.
Together, they raised EJ and Elisa, while Cookie also embraced the role of stepmother to Andre, Johnson's oldest son.Johnson has often credited his family, particularly Cookie, as the foundation of his life away from basketball.
